I was researching for Love My Dress one Sunday recently, when I came across the most charming looking Bride on one of the many websites I frequent. I fell in love almost instantly with the Bride's style; her beautiful wedding dress and the way she carried off the look with such grace ~ her stunning veil and her seriously amazing pair of heels! I knew from the detailing in the shots that this Bride knew exactly what she was doing when it came to styling her wedding in a subtle and delicate way, that reflected her love for a vintage era.

Phuong and Gregory married in May 2009 at The Homestead in Virginia, USA. Phuong has very kindly supplied these images just for Love My Dress, and I feel truly honoured that she is happy to share these amazing photographs and details of her beautiful day.
Enjoy…
"Gregory and I met over four years ago. In fact he proposed four years to the day that we met, and even arranged a surprise at the very bar where we first saw each other. We had a drink there for old times sake and then moved on to a museum atrium (The National Portrait Gallery) where he went down on bended knee in front of a tonne of onlookers and proposed! Of course, I said yes, but only after I asked him, "What are you talking about?" I was a little shocked to say the least.
"We had our wedding at an historic mountain resort. You feel a bit transported back in time when you visit The Homestead."
"My dress is a Vera Wang sample, and I got it at www.yourdreamdress.com. It's an online boutique for couture wedding gowns. They're all samples, none are used, and all ready to wear down the aisle. The great part about my dress is that the only thing that needed altering was the length! Accessories – I found the beaded bag in the back of my closet! I have no idea where I got it! The earrings are vintage art deco from my mother in law, who's an antiques dealer"…
"I love vintage…I've always loved it. I love the style of the 30s; the fingerwaved hair, the slender dresses, the gauzy fabrics. So romantic….."
"I got the parasols from Luna Bazaar. They're the Tibetan Flame Henna parasols. I love them because they combine a subtle Asian flare with a timeworn, tea-stained (read vintage) look".
"My mother made my veil out of vintage lace…"
A adore Phuong's bouquet of Amnesia Roses below…
"My shoes are by Luichiny and they're called 'Minx'.
"I wanted something grand but earthy and accessible. My muse was definitely Jean Harlowe.
"I made the hairflower that I wore at my reception…"
