I just love it when something really exciting in the wedding industry comes along. Something out of the ordinary, something brave, bold and different. And especially when that something, somehow, manages to challenge typical wedding fashion convention whilst maintaining a strong essence of glamour, elegance and grace. Just like contemporary and cutting edge bridal wear brand, Blushless.
And I love Liv Lundelius, the talented young German designer by behind the brand, who I first featured on Love My Dress back in January.
Liv Lundelius has just launched a brand new Blushless collection, which takes it's inspiration from the spirit of transformation; fascinated by the dynamic nature of supernovae and the composed and structured form of butterflies, Liv has fallen in love with the idea of giving the Blushless bride wings. The collection is able to portray these ideas through the use of beautiful and
dynamic silhouettes, transformable lengths and aspiring shapes that
change seamlessly when viewed from different angles.
"The idea of giving the bride wings, has been the central point. Through
my recent moving to the U.K. and several major changes in my life,
transformation, movement and change , growing and aspiring were the
central themes in my life. Transformation was visible in so many
different forms every day . It had to show in my current designs."

Just three outstanding pieces have been created to each represent the three states of time: The Past, The Present, and The Future. The clever selection and use of fabrics has also played an important
role in expressing these ideas; soft and airy silk tulle seemingly
floats around the body creating a frame for the balancing linen lace.
Innovative microfiber textiles are used in artistic draping techniques
while natural silk taffeta transforms itself into origami inspired hand
stitched folds.
The Maeve…
The beautiful 'Maeve' gown above and below is a full length linen lace dress, completed by a floating and dynamic silk tulle drape that transforms into an outstanding asymmetric tulle train in the back. Described as 'unbelievably comfortable to wear' and with a unique yet glamorous look, this elegant gown with it's low cut back and classical train is a perfect dress for that very special occasion – I simply adore this design…
The Marlene…
This stunning asymmetric, microfiber dress is hand-stitched with the most intricate of details. Every pattern piece is hand draped, providing a sculptural quality to it which reflects its special silhouette.
The elegant train exemplifies a more traditional approach and adds a touch of glamour to the dress; perfect for the red carpet or infact any other special occasion. Also available in 100% silk or 100% nylon, and in white, to wear as an outstanding wedding dress.
Just. Absolutely. Stunning…
Functionally, long glamorous trains can easily be worn around the arm or
simply hooked off showing a new freedom which transforms a full gown
into a fabulous cocktail dress.
The Maeko…
This Dynamic, silk taffeta dress boasts the most beautifully crafted origami inspired folds. This particular piece takes on it's own process of metamorphosis, transforming easily from a glamorous
full gown to a cool cocktail length dress, by simply hooking the train
off.
This extravagant dress is the key piece of this collection and
embodies the idea of transformation and aims to give the bride wings.

I love this collection – it fascinates, delights, charms and intrigues
me – but best of all, it appeals to my inner glamour kitten! I love
that Liv has introduced a touch of the innovative to the wedding dress
market and yet in just 3 dresses, she has also managed to inject a beautiful big dose of charm and splendour.
