The Designer Wedding Show ~ Matthew Williamson set to Launch New Bridal Collection…

Of all the UK wedding exhibitions, The Designer Wedding Show is THE show to attend if you are a Bride or Groom planning a stylish wedding.  Indeed, it is the show most talked about amongst wedding industry professionals (including Bloggers!) and I'm looking forward to attending next month and catching up with lots of my blogging friends and colleagues 🙂

And this time, the catwalk show looks set to be a pretty spectacular one, because alongside the usual couture collections on exhibit, will be that of one Matthew Williamson, who will be joining the line-up for the first time to launch his brand new bridal wear collection.

Sue Maddix, Director of the Show said…

“We are delighted that Matthew Williamson has chosen The Designer Wedding Show to launch his new bridal collection.  He is leading name in British fashion and joins an already stellar cast of designers who will be showing at Battersea Park next month."

Designers also exhibiting at this season’s event include Temperley London, Ritva Westenius, Delphine Manivet, David Fielden, Heirloom Couture, Annette Carey, Emma Hunt, Maria Grachvogel and Sassi Holford  – all looking to make an impression on the affluent brides who attend and use the event to select their dress and myriad other exquisite essentials…

The four-times daily catwalk show is an inspirational focus of attention, and is the place to come before making any decisions: a recent survey of visitors to The Designer Wedding Shows in 2009 showed that 91% of the catwalk audience said the catwalk show was key to their choice of wedding dress.

As well as presenting the most exclusive choices in bridal couture, the event has established itself as a must on the calendars of design-conscious brides looking to source the very best of everything else for their weddings. With around 130 companies carefully selected to exhibit The Designer Wedding Show presents the most luxurious choices for today’s discerning brides: florists including By Appointment Only and Mary Jane Vaughan; luxury cake creators Linda Fripp and Scattercake; stationers Sugalily, Chartula Studio, The Wren Press and Smythsons and venues such as The Dorchester, Babington House, Fulham Palace and The Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park.

The central champagne bar once again plays host to a stunning twice-daily occasion-wear show; and Mosimann’s will be running their so-civilised restaurant where you can book a table for a delicious lunch, or their highly popular afternoon tea.

The Designer Wedding Show is open from 10am – 5pm daily; tickets are £16 in advance or £18 on the door and include all fashion shows, plus a complimentary catwalk show programme. For tickets, further information and to book a table for lunch or afternoon tea, visit www.designerweddingshow.co.uk or call 0871 230 5579.

Will you be there?  I hope to see you if so :)
