The Personal Wedding Fair at Homemade London, Sunday April 10th….

Here's something interesting for the DIY Brides out there. As the capital prepares for a lavish Royal Wedding, Homemade London is hosting a unique wedding event for people who want to create an intimate wedding experience; celebrating individuality, creativity and elegance.

Founded in summer 2010, Homemade London specialises in luxurious and indulgent creative experiences, workshops and parties. It brings together London’s most stylish designers and crafts people, to produce a range of tailored workshops in which they’ll share their secrets, working with the highest quality materials, fabrics and ingredients. At the end of every class, customers will have made something they will want to keep forever or give to someone special. Classes are social experiences, in which customers enjoy a glass of wine and light supper or afternoon tea as they work. Homemade London also hosts London's original sewing cafe and is available for private hire as a creative space.

This latest event, the 'Personal Wedding Fair', takes place on Sunday 10 April, between 10.30am and 4.30pm, at The Marylebone Craft Salon and will comprise a day of masterclasses and craft workshops led by some of London’s leading creative talents.  This will include a planner, photographer, stylist, florist and Homemade London’s team of designer-makers – customers will learn how to bring their ideas to life, incorporating spectacular personal details into every aspect of the big day while keeping costs under control.

Homemade London Director Nicola Barron explains:

"This will be completely different to other wedding fairs, which are essentially about selling the services of suppliers involved – the Personal Wedding Fair is about empowering people with the knowledge and confidence to do-it-themselves in a stylish way.

Guests at a wedding should leave feeling like they know the couple just that bit better from being there and we’ll be helping people achieve this…"

Among the experts at The Personal Wedding Fair will be:

♥  Stylist Lucy Garrett from the Channel 4 series Wedding House who will talk through the things every woman should consider when choosing her wedding dress and will be opening up her little black book of the best places to shop for discerning brides-to-be.

♥  London Wedding Planner Lucinda George who will be offering tips on creating a wedding theme and balancing inspired design with budget.

♥  London Wedding Photographer Rebecca Portsmouth who will shed light on the different types of wedding photography and what works for you, how to select and brief your photographer and if you’re deciding to DIY – how to brief nominated photographers so you get the results you want to commemorate your big day.

Homemade London's creative team will also be on hand to help you create some beautiful yet simple hand-crafted touches to create impact and personality without blowing the budget.
