Hi everyone 🙂
I receive lots and lots weddings to feature on Love My Dress, that between them, represent very different styles of wedding photography. I am particularly drawn to this style of photography by London documentary wedding photographer and wedding photojournalist, Mark Carey. No formal group shots here you notice? All the images are captured naturally with no formal poses and I love how these images tell a story and how the couple are captured on camera looking so natural.
This is the wedding of Chloe and Sam, who tied the knot on 16 October with a ceremony at St Leonard's Church in Shoreditch, London, followed by a reception at Shoreditch Town Hall, and an evening party at Cantaloupe Bar on Charlotte Road, also Shoreditch.
Aside from the beautiful, natural style photography, I also love the Bride's dress, a gorgeous original vintage 1950's style find from London's Fur Coat No Knickers…
"I knew that I was not a full length dress kind of gal. I wanted something vintage, fun and that made me feel special! A friend had discovered the shop and recommended it.
The moment I stepped in the shop I knew I would find my dress there. The girls previously worked in costume in the West end, were glam, kind, patient and ever so excited! Combined with a fantastic collection of vintage dreeses, it was perfect!"

Simply beautiful…
The Bride's shoes and birdcage veil were also from Fur Coat No Knickers (they have a fantastic collection of vintage accessories, jewellery and footwear)…
The stunning antique watch below was a gift to the Bride from her Grandmother…
The Bridesmaids all wore green satin halter neck 1950's style dresses from Vivien of Holloway, with a purple satin sash…
"Our florist was Annie Jones, Sam's nephew's girlfriend. Annie sourced all the flowers for the Church and Town Hall, which were absolutely stunning. We opted for rustic rather than traditional flowers. Annie works for an exclusive London based florist…."
"We wanted the wedding to be in Hackney, where Chloe grew up and an area we both love. While we didn't decide from the outset for a vintage theme, Chloe's choice of dress for herself and her Maids of Honour, as well as her accessories were vintage in inspiration…."
The Groom wore trousers and a waist coat made by Territo Tailor, Park Street, Bristol, using fine black and white patterned fabric – and a black tail coat, a purple silk pattern tie from T M Lewin and black shoes from Jeffrey West…
Edible Food Design provided the catering….
"Great canapes – delicious! They also served all the drinks making sure nobody was ever without. They also did a great selection of children's food."
Cakes were provided by Euphorium Bakery…
"We decided to go for a mixture of lemon and apple tarts. About 150 in total. We wanted something different and delicious that everyone would like, but could not decide between the two, and realised finally that we didn't.t have to!"
Halo Lighting Ltd of Brewery Road, London provided the lighting, stage and sound system. All worked really well….
Words of Wedded Wisdom…
"Don't believe anybody who tells you it will not be stressful, instead work together on what needs doing, use lists, and start eary on working through the tasks identified.
People around you will be as excited as you about your imminent wedding, and whilst you want them to enjoy and participate in your planning, decisions must be yours! Rest assured that although you will never feel that you are totally prepared, you will have so many special people wishing you well on the day that it will all come together!"
