Couture Bridal Accessories by Chez Bec…

Hi All 🙂 How does this Friday morning find you?  This morning's blog instalment comes to you a little later than usual, and so I thought I'd give you something extra special.  A celebration of our homegrown British talent and something pretty and sparkly to boot 🙂

This morning's feature showcases the brand new collection from the award winning wedding accessory designers, Chez Bec.  Rebecca Doyle, the talent behind the Chez Bec tells us more…

"Tino & Pip have been photographing our Chez Bec sparkles for the last couple of years and on one of meetings late last year, I suggested doing a collaborative shoot with them to showcase the Chez Bec Couture Collection. We decided on two themes, Hollywood Glamour and Vintage Tea Party and off we set to build our team.  We both use twitter regularly and so it seemed only natural to build up the team from our contacts on there. And there 'Team Awesome' Shoot was born.

First off we needed a venue, somewhere with lovely grounds, quirky features and that real wow factor. Tino & Pip came up trumps there having met the lovely Holly Nicol, the in-house Wedding Planner at Stoke Place, at the Wedding Ideas Awards earlier this year. We couldn’t have asked for a more magical venue…."

"There was only one choice when it came to dresses. Who other than the one and only Wedding Ideas Award-winning
Creatiques and their simply stunning own label collection of couture dresses. Let’s just say that when I renew my vows in 5 years time, Creatiques are making my dress for me! I wouldn’t want anyone else to design it."

"The utterly stunning model and actress, Alice Christian, has been the face of Chez Bec for years and so of course she was on board right away. We drafted in her beautiful sister Juliana to come and model for us too so that we could get some fun shots of them both together. The two of them looked more beautiful than any models I have seen in any magazine anywhere. I felt honoured to see them in Chez Bec Couture."

"Our team was almost complete but it lacked a certain bling. And so of course, the rather amazing Jon Keith Diamonds just had to come along with some to-die-for cocktail rings for us to borrow. Think Chocolate & Canary Diamond Rings, inch-thick eternity rings and real wow wee diamonds. What fun it was to try those on if only for a few minutes…"

"Tina Hall of Sprinkles & Swirls has been baking the most incredible cakes for Chez Bec shoots since the year dot and so they just had to be part of this new shoot. Tina kindly gave me 4 cakes to take home after the shoot for my children but I’m ashamed to say that only 2 of them made it home. I had to pull over on the way home to scoff two of them. I’d been drooling over them all day.

The best cakes I have ever eaten. End of."

Behind The Scenes…

I know I always like to take a peek 'behind the scenes', so with permission, I'm sharing these image of Louise Large, from 'Louise Hair & Make Up' applying her fabulous airbrush foundation technique.  Rebecca of Chez Bec told me…

"When it came to hair and make up, it just had to be the fabulous Louise Large who did a most fantastic job on my hair and make up for the Wedding Ideas Awards 2011 (where I might have won an Award for Best Bridal Accessories for the second year in a row……excuse the outright plug!). Her fabulous airbrush foundation technique was just out of this world. When I win the lottery, I’m employing her to do my make up with that foundation every morning!"

"The day was fantastic from start to finish. The sun shone brightly and we spent most of the shoot outside in the glorious sunshine and grounds at Stoke Place. Everyone in the team worked incredibly hard and, well, the results speak for themselves. I, for one, am absolutely over the moon. The images which Tino & Pip have taken quite literally took my breath away. They are just incredible. They have really captured the personality and team spirit of Team Awesome Shoot. Our birdcage veils have already started flying out of the door to beautiful brides all around the country and Tino & Pip’s images have given the Chez Bec Couture Collection the greatest launch I could have hoped for.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend every single member of the team to anyone. And I’d love to work with them all again one day."
