Beretkah Unconventional Wedding Veils ~ Bespoke Millinery & Fascinators…

I love hearing from exciting new brands that are doing something a little different.  Ladies, Gents, let me introduce you to 'Berektah' – a bespooke millinery and veil/fascinator brand that was established last year by Russian Tatiana Ashakova, who now resides in Glasgow, Scotland.

Tatiana tells me she has always admired the tradition we have here in Britain for accessorising with hats and headpieces, and that after moving to the UK in 2009 and finishing her MSc in International Fashion Marketing, she decided to develop her passion for hats into a small business.  'Berektah' literally translates from Russian into English, as 'beret'…

Tatiana offers bespoke millinery, fascinators and accessories for special occasion and every day which she creates in her Glasgow-based studio. She can create a piece according to her clients’ wishes or her clients can purchase ready-made pieces available at stockists.  With a background as a fashion stylist, Tatiana – a self-taught designer, has developed a sharp eye for trends and the ability to create bespoke exclusive head pieces following last trends.

I love Tatiana's unconventional wedding veil designs, and you simply must check out her 'Flowers and Cages', 'Seductively Classy' and 'Feathery Fairy' collections on this page also, they really are rather beautiful…

"My designs are aimed at fashion conscious ladies, who are attracted to unusual designs – the type of Bride to be who respects the craftsmanship that goes into a unique product.

So that I can bring a natural feel to my designs, I use delicate hand-made flowers.  I use a variety of materials overall – within my latest bridal collection for example, I have pieces made out of crochet, lace and beads.

I regularly introduce one-off pieces to my collections – the creative soul can’t live without innovations and new inspirations afterall!   I can never get bored of making beautiful things as it makes this world just a little bit more beautiful too…”
