The Black Wedding Dress … and Other Fabulous Designs by The Couture Company…

Isn't that a beautiful black wedding dress?  I haven't seen a Bride wearing a black wedding dress in such a long time now.  So many Brides end up favouring the traditional white/ivory colours.  I guess up to now it's always been the Bride who favours the more 'gothic' and 'steampunk' style wedding who'd opt for a black dress. But boy, would I love to see a real Bride sporting this number below. What a beauty!

This is a creation of The Couture Company, whose owner Joanne Bromley, specialises in producing bespoke, custom made bridal gowns and corsetry (Rawhide Corsets) for women who want to be unique and individual, women  with discerning taste and style.

Established in 1992, Joanne has spent almost the past 20 years creating a stunning collection of owns that constantly evolving and being designed, refined and developed all year round.  Joanne also offers a design service for those brides who have a very specific idea about how they want their dream gown to look, as well as for those who have no idea which direction to take…

In 2003 Joanne relocated her world from Preston to Birmingham, having seen the potential of the city and also having been impressed and  inspired by the cities redevelopment. In September 2010 her new Atelier style showroom was opened in the acclaimed Zellig redeveolpment at The Custard Factory, and customers and voyeurs alike can see the inner workings of a design studio as they peruse and choose their bespoke gowns.

Joanne and her team now work from a large salon studio based on the ground floor of The Custard Factory, where all fittings and consultations are conducted, and where all the gowns are designed, cut and made by an experienced ‘in house’ team.

The year 2010 saw the collaboration with acclaimed photographer Rebecca Parker, and Joanne tels me this collaboration has produced some of The Couture Companys best styling and images to date {as I think you'll agree from these photographs}…
