Florals are not just for the summer you know, I just love how wintery florals can create such a dramatic and decadent backdrop. Reminds me of a 17th Century painting. Winter florals are of course rich, dark, bold and directional giving you a gorgeous palette to play with from the deepest of reds, to pinks and purples, which look divine when mixed in with russets, blacks and greys…

For the bridal look I've gone really dramatic with a beautifully decadent black silk gown by Lucy in Disguise with transparent mesh top and pink floral appliques. This dress is so stunning, and just goes to show that a black wedding dress doesn't have to equal goth. And it just so happens that these Crumpet floral dresses match the bride's gown perfectly. It was simply just meant to be.
Topped off with a delicate pink bouquet, which would look fabulous with black lace woven around the stem to add that extra touch of drama

The styling is again bold and dramatic, I'm thinking dark wintery days, lit only by candlelight and a wedding feast taking place in an old rambling house with dark walls, brocade furniture and lots of old antiques.
Think differently when it comes to the table decor, like using black floral plates for example, and coloured glassware.
Keep the drama with an immense cake like this black tiered creation, or add an unusual backdrop for photos, I love how these flowers are suspended against a black cloth.
