Bridal Inspiration Board #35 ~ All You Need Is Love…

Morning you lovely lot! Once again I'm in London and raring to get today going! I have a jam-packed day ahead first of all meeting up with the wonderful ladies behind Reverie Magazine, Kate and Mary-Lee, then I'll be attending The Designer Wedding Show {ready to report back to you next week of course} and after this I'll be meeting up with my wonderful new sponsor and the lady behind this little wedding planning app, the luxury wedding planner Sarah Haywood. What have you all got planned?

Let's not forget that in just a few days time, we celebrate Valentines, and in honour of that, I wanted to dedicate this weeks bridal inspiration boards to the theme of Love, and so asked the very talented Michelle Kelly of Pocketful of Dreams to craft one of her beautiful mood board for you.  Whatever you do this weekend, try to get a little loving time with your special one, won't you?…

It's time for a little more bridal inspiration and of course this week we are surrounded by lots of Valentines ideas and inspirations. I must admit though, I've never really been a huge fan of the occasion as I am in generally in the 'it's commercial-overload' camp. But one thing I do love is….love!

So this week I wanted to bring you a valentines-inspired mood board, combining both pinks and reds for a modern take on this classic style. This combination of hues has been something of a fashion favourite for a little while now and even I have been brave enough to try the colour combo myself. There is just something about wearing such bright and bold colours that just makes you feel really alive…

I have chosen Vivienne Westwood Gold Label's off-white silk-taffeta 'Bronze' gown for the bridal look. This gown with intricate pleating and full ruching, is a real scene-stealing piece.  From Net-a-Porter.

Pared-back accessories are a must with this dramatic design, like this Azhar Sterling Silver and Cubic Zirconia Big Heart Ring from Forzieri.

For the bridesmaids how about this Alice + Olivia 'Claire' Maxi Dress? The crimson-red knit bodice of the stunning maxi dress shifts to an equally vibrant shade of pink along the long, woven skirt. From Nordstrom.

Of course your look would not be compete without a pair of head-turning shoes like these ACNE Audrey red and fuschia silk and metallic leather mules. From Net-A-Porter

Mix simple blooms of pinks, reds in plain white or clear vessels
A red-velvet cake in ombre shades of pink and red creates a real wow factor
I love the idea of printing red onto pink for stationery, consider foil-block embossing to achieve a really chic look
Make use of fruits to provide those colour-pops of red, combining them with soft pink meringues and mousses
I just love this felt garland, these are actually quite small and intended for jewellery, however the principle would be perfect for a cake-table or ceremony backdrop, using larger pieces of felt.
