Morning all, Quick reminder about this wonderful promotion which ends at midnight tonight! Get your skates on if you wish to still enter! 😉
Look at that radiant smile below. Isn't it just beautiful? That's Rosy, and she married her beau Tom on 8th December last year at The Scarlet Hotel in Mawgan Porth, Cornwall.
I loved these photos as soon as I saw them, that beautiful smile and that lovely pleated skirt dress with the huge flower corsage detail, a bespoke design by the wonderful Lisa Redman – who I was chatting to only last weekend at The Designer Wedding Show…
"I’d looked around and all the dresses I’d seen were so ‘bridey’. I’d initially been thinking of getting a silk skirt and wearing it with a simple white t-shirt but couldn’t find anything that was quite right. Lisa’s a friend so I chatted to her about my ideas. We met several times and discussed ideas, colours and fabrics. I wanted something much more subtle than your average wedding dress and I didn’t want it to be white. Lisa drew up some ideas and we went for it! It was such fun working with Lisa and her team and a real experience for me.
It was amazing having a bespoke piece especially created and fitted for me. Something totally unique and different. I completely loved the beautiful blush colours and the incredible airy softness of the fabric – and I felt so comfortable in it…"

The The Scarlet Hotel and the landscape of Cornwall in general were the perfect inspiration for Tom and Rosy's wedding, all pale blush pink with hues of lime green…
"My jewellery was by Shaun Leane – I wore a gold and pearl ring and necklace from the Cherry Blossom collection. I also wore my favourite small diamond studs – a birthday gift from my parents and a skinny gold bangle I was given when I was a bridesmaid…"
"My shoes were by LK Bennett – they're shoes I'd had for years (something old!) and used to wear to weddings often. They happened to go really well with my dress!"
"Daisy Roots are an amazing eco-florist specialising in Cornish grown, fairtrade and organic flowers. I wanted the flowers to mimic the Cornish scenery and have a natural posy feel which Lucy totally understood.
She picked up on the blush colours of my dress and they went so perfectly with the colours in the room where we held the ceremony. I loved the way she left the stems really long on my bouquet…"
"I did my own make up – mostly using the products from Laura Mercier (love!)…"
"We wanted a really small, intimate wedding and all the venues we’d looked at in London (where we live) seemed so impersonal and too grand. We didn’t want to be just another cog in the great big wedding wheel!
We’d been to The Scarlet Hotel a couple of times before (always in Winter) and we loved the relaxed vibe, the amazing décor; not-to-mention the fantastic scenery. Their eco policy was important to us too…"
"Tom and I walked in to our wedding ceremony together, to the sound of 'For The Summer', by Ray La Montagne…"
"We got engaged the year before at Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir aux Quatre Saisons in Oxfordshire. Tom arranged it as an amazing surprise. We stayed in a beautiful suite and had the most mind-blowingly delicious dinner before going for a post dinner walk around the grounds where he proposed in the moonlit veg patch!
My first reaction was to laugh and grin stupidly. I had to ask him to say it again before it sunk in and I said yes. I couldn’t sleep at all that night. It was so exciting and I was nervous thinking about the importance of the commitment we’d be making to each other by marrying. It’s a wonderful feeling though – knowing that someone loves you enough to want to be with you forever. I was insanely happy!"
"I didn't have any official bridesmaids, though you could say my sister, Livs, did a sterling job of being a brides best right hand woman! She wore a fab vintage style pink and gold lace dress from Monsoon…"
Words of Wedded Wisdom…
"It's pretty likely something will go wrong (our DJ pulled out just a couple of hours before the party!) but there's not much you can do about it on the day. Try really hard not to stress about it – things will carry on regardless. The best advice we were given is to enjoy yourself and all your guests will too. There were moments when I felt sick with anxiety and all the adrenaline but in the end you remember you're both there to get married to each other and nothing else matters.
My other top tip would be that a totally bespoke dress doesn’t have to cost as much as you’d think and whilst it is expensive you get so much more for your money than your average off-the-peg wedding dress and you get to create something very special and personal to you."
Oh how happy do Tom and Rosy look?!? I love thse photos – congratulations guys! 😉
Huge thanks to Sarah Falugo of Green Photographic for submitting these images…
"We were so lucky we stumbled upon Sarah. She has a lovely relaxed way about her and seemed to totally get the kind of look we were after. Her photos have such a lovely feel to them. We did an engagement shoot with her in October which really helped us to feel more comfortable having her around on the day…"
