Glamour Meets Shabby Chic in a French Chateau…

Good morning lovelies.  I've something really beautiful to share with you this morning, the results of a photoshoot project which took UK based creative team all the way over to the South of France.

I'm going to pretty much hand right on over to Sonia Collett of Want That Wedding who styled and produced this shoot, to explain the inspiration behind it and a little about those beautiful bridal headpieces, jewellery and dresses.

"When Gemma Sutton asked me if I wanted to style a shoot being held in a Chateau in the south of France, I literally jumped at the chance. Gemma had teamed up with talented vintage wedding photographer David Wickham of Modern Vintage Weddings and their mission was to showcase the gorgeous headpieces of bridal accessories designer Donna Crain.

I was pretty much given a free reign to do what I pleased and in my mind I was picturing a gorgeous chateau with shabby chic detailing. I looked at Donna's website and saw that her pieces were beautiful vintage inspired headpieces with a glamorous Hollywood vibe. So from there my ideas started to form…"

"A shabby chic styled wedding using vintage suitcases, French vintage books, dried lavender, dried rose buds and rose petals with French styled wedding stationery and vintage bottles. I wanted to inject old-school 30s glamour into the rustic look and created this by draping pearls, glitzy jewellery and Donna's stunning headpieces over elegant 1930s champagne glasses and the shabby French books that were placed in the suitcase…"

"When we arrived at Chateau Les Carrasses we were just blown away! I must admit, I didn’t know what to expect as pictures don’t often do a place justice but Les Carrasses was an incredibly sophisticated and chic chateau that held a treasure trove of beautiful knick knacks which the lovely people there let us raid for the shoot.

It was so much fun working and hanging out with a lovely and talented team in a beauuuutiful location and I do hope you lovely brides to be enjoy this bridal inspiration…"
