A Romantic Walk For A London Love Shoot ~ Melody and George…

Oh how I love London, and I love the insight to little corners of the great city that my blog posts can often provide.  On my most recent trip to The Big Smoke, I spent a morning experiencing the flower market on Columbia Road in East London – it was absolutely amazing, full of the most beautiful fresh florals… "eeeeverything a fiver!" being shouted from across each side of the road.

It was the second time I've visited Columbia Road – back in April, the amazing photographer Ashton Jean-Pierre took these photographs of me on Columbia Road, for a personal project at learning to feel comfortable in front of the camera.  This is also the second love shoot I've featured on the beautiful Columbia Road.

This sweet love-shoot features soon-to-be-newlyweds Melody and George.  Their shoot was styled by Tiffany Grant Riley and photographed by Elizabeth Lois who has shared the words below.  Something a little different for a Thursday morning.

Enjoy…

"Melody and George are lovers of arts and crafts, home made, traditional style, proper coffee, cake and flowers, especially peonies! They work alongside each other at theatres in the west end and love their London.

Melody is also an avid peruser of Love My Dress!"

"Looking through Melody's Pinterest board, it was easy for shoot stylist Tiffany to see a steady theme of the hand made and the pale pastel peonies throughout Melody's various boards, she quickly came back to us with a handful of different locations for our whole day shoot around London.

We knew we wanted to base the shoot on a gentle stroll around London, creating a really relaxed lazy Sunday afternoon feel, which reflects Melody and George's personalities…"

"It was raining so heavily that day, that the roads had become almost completely un walkable, just in time for our short stroll through Columbia Road, typical! We decided to channel 'The Notebook' and popped up a giant red pagoda parasol and continued our mooch about town! George bought Melody some gorgeous flowers, which Tiffany then displayed in a frame to create a fab hippyish backdrop just down from Columbia Road.

Even though we had a rough idea on locations, there were absolutely no set plans for specific shots and due to the rain we really did have to duck and dodge as our day progressed! I feel like this actually worked out to be the best possible situation as it helped make our shoot feel even more relaxed and cosy :)"

"We managed to find a gorgeous artsy ceramics painting studio in West Hampstead, called Arts 4 For and they kindly let us come along and use their space for part of our shoot. After being shown the ropes with the paints, we all had a good look through the floor to ceiling shelves of the various pale plaster colour ornaments and objects that you could choose from- there was a whole shelf devoted to wedding inspired nic nacs!!"
