Morning all, Just a quick word to let those of you who weren't around last night know that I posted a late night treat for you all by way of this gold sequin bit of wow-factor.  Votes continue to swarm in for our Zoe Lem competition this morning – never known anything like it!

I fancied starting today with a set of images that takes a bit of a step away from the typical wedding day inspriation shoot that I know readers are less keen on viewing these days, and I'm with you on that, I get it. These images however offer something different, a set of sartorial suggestions for a a very stylish wedding day.   These images were submitted by the Glasgow Wedding Collective, whose amazing work has featured previously on Love My Dress, and who every bride in Scotland (and beyond for that matter) should be looking up and considering booking the services of for their wedding day…

The aim of the Glasgow Wedding Collective is to handpick and bring together a selection of exciting independent and creative wedding suppliers from throughout Scotland.  and let me tell you – these people produce the kind of photoshoots I like A LOT; a whole page full of stylish sartorial suggestions, sharp suits, beautiful rustic bouquets berry filled bouquets, a sexy back dress, a incredible white dress and woodland fairy queen inspired head crown – it's one big, heady concotion of whimsical, sexy, ethereal and modern day glamour all-rolled into one. It's more importantly something beautiful and inspiring to look at all at the same time. The 'GWC' tell us more…

"We wanted to create somewhere for brides to find like-minded companies who pride themselves in their creativity and are usually found more off the beaten wedding track. The GWD showcases all that's good and unique in the industry and give brides a chance to create a day in their own individual style. We are really excited to bring together a dedicated team."

"We are very excited and proud today as we have the results of a recent Glasgow Wedding Collective collaboration to share with you all. With the 'summer' wedding season drawing to a close a few of us 'GWC' suppliers put our heads together to create something a little darker, hazier and moodier than we are used to, to suit the mood of the darkening season.

Di from Roots & fruits, a self confessed goth at heart, (check out her pinterest for the proof!) was the lady of the day in control of all things floral creating sumptuous bouquets, button holes, a glorious floral crown and a divine trailing wrist corsage, not to mention our dreamy forest chandelier…"

"Our kind hosts for the day were Craufurdland Estate, a family run Castle with the most gorgeous authentic features. Recently revived to allow for intimate weddings we're delighted to have them join the Glasgow Wedding Collective.

The Sorelle girls were on hair and make-up with Anne-Marie creating those glorious waves & crafty up-dos and Julie on the ruby plum lips & lashes. Dresses were collected from the divine range from Rowan Joy and a specially commissioned Lace number from Judy R Clark…"

"The Vintage Co. kindly allowed us a good rummage to collect dresses, furs and accessories and those amazing custom suits were provided by the fabulous Adam Waite Tailoring (now with a showroom in Glasgow and London)…"

God I love a gentleman in a sharp, blue suit…

"The wee naked chocolate cake was from Three Sisters Bake. (We can verify its absolute tastiness). Those clever wedding helpers at Be Eventful kindly provided a box full of their goodies to dress the table which was styled beautifully on the day by Di of Roots n' Fruits (supplier of those divine Bell jars) and Mr James Tew of &James was there filming the day, so watch this space for the moving images soon.

We hope our wee project provides lots of moody inspiration for planning lovebirds and gives you the courage to think outide the box, and style your wedding day exactly thew ay you want to…"

For all you Scottish brides interested in potentially booking services of any of the suppliers who worked oon this shoot, I recommend that you attend The Glasgow Wedding Collective fayre

"So some exciting news! After some deliberation we have decided to move our wedding fayre taking place on Sunday 17th February from 11:00 – 16:00, to a bigger, brighter venue! We wanted more room to allow more suppliers to be involved but also to create the space in a much more interactive exhibition type way. We are hoping to have live music, food, booze and a chance to try some new styles on the day. The Lighthouse have just refreshed their Gallery 1 space. If you haven't been to The Lighthouse space before you definitely need to go check it out; concrete floors, exposed brick, white walls and massive windows. Its really very lovely and an amazing blank canvas to style your wedding day.

We really want to take the The Glasgow Wedding Collective into a fresher direction and focus more on the 'creative' and 'handpicked' elements of weddings – so this fayre is an ideal way to launch that idea in a vibrant, bright environment."
