A Pretty Candy Anthony Wedding Dress for a Sweet Wedding Ceremony…

Afternoon guys n gals. This lovely wedding, sent in by photographer Emma B, is a sweet and fuss-free affair and for this couple, the focus was very much so on the Church wedding ceremony.  Ben and Zoe tied the knot on 29th October 2012 at St Marys Church in Talbenny Pembrokeshire, followed by a reception at Warpool Court Hotel, St David's (arrr, happy holiday memories!)

"We didn’t have a
particular theme. We chose bits and bobs, colours and items that we
liked as we went along. We wanted the day to be quite relaxed.
  The
only thing that was very important to me was to have a Church ceremony.

We were very lucky to find the most amazing Church – tiny, remote with
incredible sea views and the most wonderful vicar who made it all
possible and gave a beautiful service.  Also,
neither of us are actually Welsh, but we chose to get
married in Pembrokeshire because we’ve spent
many happy holidays there together and I have been spending
holidays there with my family since I was born. So it holds many happy
memories for us both…"

Zoe's beautiful tiered 1950's inspired wedding dress was a Candy Anthony design…

A friend of mine had had an amazing dress from Candy Anthony several
years before and I knew I wanted a similar 50’s inspired style. She
took me to the shop and I fell in love with my dress immediately! (It
helped that it was in the sale too!"

"Our Florist was Spirals, of Haverfordwest.  We had a
mixture of hydrangeas, roses and ‘hedgerow’ type flowers in ‘tea rose’
and autumnal colours. The bouquets and tables arrangements were all
hand-tied. We had one pedestal in the Church and simple clear vases on
each table at the Reception. They were very simple, but we were thrilled
with the overall effect of the flowers at the Church and venue."

"The Church ceremony was the most special part of the day.  We
enjoyed going off on our own with the photographer after the service for
some shots on the beach before the Reception. It gave us a chance to
‘catch up’ in the car and reflect before the excitement of the rest of
the day!"

"We made the order of services, menus, table plans and name cards. I printed the names etc using old wooden letter prints."

"Our photography was by Emma B.
We are delighted with the pictures! I came across some of Emma’s photos
online and was really impressed. I gave her a call and was immediately
struck with how friendly and easy going she was. We wanted a very
relaxed approach to the photography with lots of natural/ reportage type
shots. Emma was so calm and unobtrusive on the day. We are really
grateful to her."

Words of Wedded Wisdom…

"Don’t worry too
much about the guests and whether they’re having a great time. They will
be, so relax and thoroughly enjoy yourself!"
