This dreamlike look is the epitome of subdued elegance and beauty; an ethereal and airy concept perfect for the romantic bride with a hint of bohemia about her.

Against a white background, add hints of taupe, blush and lilac for a delicate and feminine effect.

Remember, this design is light and subtle so apply a delicate colour wash to your styling rather than solid colour blocks for a pure and sublime look.  Dainty details in pastel shades and feminine flourishes will create an exquisite yet understated backdrop for your day.

A look like this requires special consideration of your venue and suppliers.  Look for venues with gorgeous grounds, perhaps a little overgrown, for a very natural and unaffected look.  The stunning Coworth Park in Berkshire, part of the Dorchester collection, has the most outstanding natural meadow in its grounds which would be absolutely perfect for this look.  Or for those of you in the North, consider Eleven Didsbury Park, a small luxury  townhouse hotel with a fabulous walled garden.

Your choice of photographer will also be particularly important here.  This design is light, airy and has an almost unsubstantial feel to it so make sure you do your research and book a photographer whose aesthetic and editing style complements your design and styling.

Our Dream Scene bride will float through her wedding day in an exquisite creation of flowing, diaphanous fabrics.  Avoid heavily corseted dresses and instead look to delicate tulles and organza with fine detailing for a dainty and beautiful look.  Designers like Love My Dress favourite Claire Pettibone or Delphine Manivet would be perfect for this style.

You are aiming for a pure and simple look so keep your hair natural and understated, perhaps down with a delicate wave or loosely plaited with individual flowers weaved in.  For your make up, opt for a dewy, fresh faced look which glows with radiance.  Stick to nude colours and focus on achieving a flawless finish.

Keep jewellery to a minimum and stick to delicate pieces; you want the overall effect to be light and insubstantial.  But of course, this look is all about celebrating your feminine side too so that floaty dress demands a set of gorgeous shoes!  Search out a statement pair such as the gorgeous Badgley Mischka pair featured above; look for delicate details such as bows or ruffles and avoid anything too fierce.

Dress your bridesmaids in gorgeous flowing dresses; stick to longer lengths to ensure you get the full floaty effect.  Pick dresses with delicate floral detailing or light colour washes in blush or lilac to complement your design.  Mismatched dresses would be perfect for this look where nothing should be too orchestrated.  For younger maids, opt for cute tutu dresses with exquisite detailing to create a flurry of little flower fairies.

Opt for delicate and dainty blooms in creams and pastel blush shades with lashings of silver and green foliage.  Pink heather and lavender would look beautiful nestled in amongst roses and other flowers and consider how you can add other elements into your florals to emphasise that pure and almost other-worldly look.  Delicate dandelion seed heads for example would look simply breathtaking.   A shower bouquet would be the perfect accessory for our bride but avoid anything too structured; think loose, tendril like foliage to add a stunning flourish which doesn't look too over worked.  Display flowers in simple glasses and gather smaller vases together for subtle but gorgeous set ups.

Embrace the ethereal nature of this look through delicate decor pieces.  Natural elements like white shells or bleached and blush peacock feathers would look absolutely stunning used to line your aisle, incorporated into floral displays or just displayed around your venue.

This look may be ethereal and delicate but don't discard larger scale installation pieces and backdrops which could set the scene for your day perfectly.  A wall of delicate laser cut flowers would look heavenly or how about creating a ceiling of paper lanterns in white and the lightest of pinks?  You could even hang streaming flowers in between the lanterns for a truly dreamy look.

And as evening draws in, twinkling fairylights are a must.

Stick to delicate table linens and simple, white or wooden chairs for your wedding breakfast.  Add delicate colour washes through your floral centrepieces and perhaps a spring of pink heather at each setting to accompany a place name.  Present food on each table in a family sharing style with little hand written paper flags describing what each item is; relaxed and carefree dining is the order of the day.

For your stationery and paper goods, select vintage style stained or natural stocks and opt for a swirling and loose calligraphy style.  Delicate invitations and paper goods in cream and dashes of watercolours would perfectly complement the delicate and fine look of the day.

We love the delicate beauty of this design; it's a great option for those of you wanting an understated look but still looking to indulge your feminine fancies.  Do let us know what you think in the comments box below and if there are any colours, concepts or ideas that you'd like to see us incorporate into an upcoming inspiration board' we'd love to hear from you!
