Images From The First Ever Etsy UK Weddings Event ~ Book Tickets NOW To Attend The Event on Saturday 11th May

I'm not long back from a really lovely afternoon spent with some of the UK's most creative and talented designers who are all part of that wonderful online showroom that is EtsyUK.

I adore Etsy. I love everything it stands for;  supporting the small business and lone designer who devote all their spare time crafting and creating beautiful pieces – the artisan passionate about their craft the new designer creating quirky off-beat pieces that you just could not find anywhere else. It's basically a little piece of heaven on the internet for the creative minded bride, and indeed groom.

This was the first event that EtsyUK have ever hosted and it's aim was to showcase the work and raise the profile of it's UK based designers.

I've kept the afternoon slot free on Love My Dress, as I wanted to get back to my hotel and share a little of my experience this afternoon with you right away.  These images were taken on my iPad and are available via my Instagram feed – they represent a small fraction of what was on display, which was a beautifully curated collection of all things peach and sparkly and shiny and handmade and pretty.  An Instagram lovers heaven, I can tell you.

This divine sequin gown by Willowmoone on Etsy above pretty much stole the show.  And how amazing is this creation by thefoldedpageshop below?  Quite incredible!

I participated in a question and answer session this afternoon, along with Charlie of The Natural Wedding Company – it was an opportunity for Etsy sellers to ask us questions about our blogs, about working with bloggers and about how they can harness Etsy, blogs and social media to promote their products and services.  I have to say, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.   We've had lots of lovely comments coming through on email, Facebook and Twitter telling us how inspired those in attendance were which is amazing feedback!  I also felt in my element chatting away with like minded people and having an opportunity to meet, face to face, the designers who are behind some of the beautiful products that we showcase on Love My Dress.

Of course, I recognised that gorgeous shimmery LOVE letters below – it was created by our very own regular contributors Michelle and Vicki of Pocketful of Dreams and you can buy it on Etsy right now!

I loved these pretty personalised heart lockets for bridesmaids, what a lovely gift they would make – courtesy of Madison Honey Vintage on Etsy.

It was lovely to chat briefly with designer Samantha Dearden of Proverbial Daisies, who specialises in creating handmade wooden cake toppers. They are so sweet!

Designer Emma of Beau Buttons was there. I really liked her button bouquet designs, featuring vintage buttons and habersashery – I love the idea of having your little maids carrying one of these on your wedding day…

The boys (little and big!) weren't forgotten about either. I adored this dinky reversible denim waistcoat with matching bow tie by Leon and Coco

Fancy Bowtique have taken the currently trend for all things 1920s and crated this 1920's inspired bridal headpiece.  Very elegant and delicate it was too. Right up my street.

I really must stress, this is but a fraction of what was on display and will be on display at the Etsy Weddings Event all day tomorrow. Tickets are on sale until 6pm this evening – so go and treat yourself to a pair now and take your Mum or best friend with you. I highly recommend it.  Oh, and you really must try the St Germain cocktail – it's simply delicious!
