A Monique Lhuillier Wedding Dress And Maids in Emerald Green

It's always so lovely to be able to feature the photography of Owen and Charis Warrell, aka, O&C Photography – this charming couple who reside in Wales are two of the nicest poeple I've met in this industry, a wonderful choice of photographer for any couple living in or close to Wales and looking for relaxed, honest style images.

O&C Photography were appointed to document Gethin and Bex's wedding on camera on 15th September last year, when the couple tied the knot at Abercastle in Wales.

"The Church we tied the knot in,  Mathry Church, was the same
church my parents were married in 32 years previous. They also had a
Marquee in my Grandparents garden, just like we did!

Green is my favourite colour so this inspired our day – everything else were just styles and ideas we thought of and liked."

"Geth and I met towards the end of August in New York City at a
Summer Camp. We became close friends and after the summer of 2008 we
were both offered full-time jobs in NYC. As friends we decided to move
into a 2 bedroom apartment and became best friends. Feb 2010 Geth moved
out to move in with another friend of ours and a few months later in May
2010 we realised our friendship may be a little bit more than what we
thought and started dating.

In September 2011, Geth asked me to marry him in
Snowdonia, Wales and we were engaged for a year before we tied the knot.  We then moved back into our original apartment where I had
still been living but now we had a spare room."

"My dress was by designer Monique Lhuillier and purchased from Kleinfelds in New York.  I was looking for a Lace dress and I really wanted sleeves – I ended up getting a sleeveless dress but adding detachable sleeves which worked perfectly for day and evening time.My veil was made in a small Boutique in New York called Bridal Veil Falls."

"I wore a flower hair piece for the church and a pearl Hair piece made at Bridal Veil Falls for the reception."

"My bridesmaids all wore Henkaa multiway dresses in emerald green – so they could wear them in their preferred styles.  My bridesmaids all brought their own nude shoes to wear."

"We hired O&C Photography. They were absolutely fantastic, soo friendly and
helpful not only in the photography but also in preparations for the
day.

Owen and Charis made us feel %100 comfortable and we had a blast with them.
One of my best moments of the day was going off with them both to
take photos away from the rest of the party. They were brilliant at time
keeping and not dragging out photo shoots and as you can see they took
incredible photographs. I would recommend them to all engaged couples to
have them shoot their weddings."

"My Father Chris Brown walked me down the aisle to the sound of Calon Lan (welsh Song) played by Harpist Joy Cornock.

We
had traditional vows, and our readings included Ecclesiastes 4:9-12;
'Two are better than one because they have a good return for their
labor.  If they fall down they can help each other up. But pitty those
who fall and have no one to help them up! Also, if two lie down together
they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? Though one may be
overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not
quickly broken."

"We also had the reading 'Why Marriage?', by Mari Nichols-Haining;

'Because to the depths of me, I long to love one person, With all my heart, my soul, my mind, my body…
Because I need a forever friend to trust with the intimacies of me,
Who won't hold them against me,
Who loves me when I'm unlikable,
Who sees the small child in me, and
Who looks for the divine potential of me…
Because I need cwtches in the warmth of the night
With someone who thanks God for me,
With someone I feel blessed to hold…
Because marriage means opportunity
To grow in love and in friendship…
Because marriage is a discipline
To be added to a list of achievements…'"

"Our first dance was to 'We have all the time in the World' by Louis Armstrong.

We wouldn't change a thing about our day, it was perfect."
