Lunch Time Wedding Film ~ Tom and Libby, by Magic Hour Films

I love sharing wedding films on Love My Dress, especially on a Friday, when I know attention to the job has probably began to wane just a little bit, and our lovely readers are looking for a little lunch time inspiration as they take a cup of tea (Yorkshire, always) and well earned break.

Today's wedding comes to you from Magic Hour (watch out for more from them very soon) and showcases the beautiful wedding of Tom and Libby. This is an exquisitely crafted film – absolutely beautifully shot and expertly edited.  Here, Libby shares a little about this couple's wedding day…

'We
planned our special day to be on our six year anniversary, so it was a
cold Saturday in February when we tied the knot, surprisingly the
weather was splendid and we were bathed in glorious sunshine as we
headed to Manchester Town Hall, a magnificent historical building in the
city centre.'

'Saying our vows in such stunning surroundings truly
gave a sense of ceremony, but I wanted the rest of the day to be a
relaxed affair and had booked a local restaurant (Jack Spratt’s) for the
reception. And being just a short two minute walk from the Town Hall
meant we didn’t have to worry about arranging transport or people
getting lost on their way (it also saved a big chunk of the budg
et!)'

'My dress was from Elliot Claire Boutique (ASOS Marketplace) and was unusual in the style and embellishment, both this and the bridesmaids dresses (French Connection) were simple and neutral as I didn’t want a single colour to dominate the theme. However, we did really splash out with lots of colours when decorating the restaurant, using coloured streamers, paper pompoms, glass bottles, sparkly table runners and a huge bouquet of balloons!'

'We ate mountains of food, all brought to the table on huge
sharing platters – there was a Mediterranean mezze of delicious cheese,
breads, olives, dips and meats, and an American themed meat feast of
buffalo wings, steak, ribs and fries. Followed by a trio of deserts and
homemade chocolates with the coffee.'

'Keeping the Children (8 in total) entertained was important to me, I didn’t want them to be bored so we made little packages for them with a colouring book and crayons, stickers, toy animals, and tons of Sweets – parents hate me! We created a little corner for them and also popped a box of fancy dress clothes there too.  In the evening, we drank champagne cocktails and danced under
fairy lights to our friends DJing. Mini-burgers and fish 'n' chips in
newspaper cones were brought out to keep the party going til 1am.'

'Our Magic Hour
video really captured the spirit of everything and they were incredibly
discreet throughout the entire day – I completely forgot we were being
filmed!'
