Entries for our inaugural team of Lovettes is now closed and we will be announcing our new team of blogging brides on Valentines day, Friay 14th February.

Happy Sunday readers! We’re hijacking your weekend to share some big news. After months of plotting and scheming, today sees the launch of an exciting new project here at Love My Dress®.

Annabel and I are incredibly proud of the community that has developed around this blog over the last 4 years. From the countless comments, emails, tweets and Facebook exchanges we share with our readers, we know there is an intelligent, articulate and, above all, deeply stylish group of women tuning in to Love My Dress on a regular basis. We feel it’s about time we tapped into this precious resource so everyone can benefit from the wealth of knowledge and experience it harbours.

To this end, we are looking for 4 brides-to-be to become ‘The Lovettes’. As an integral part of our team, you’ll be charged with sharing the highs and lows of planning your wedding. The position will give you the opportunity to seek advice from and share inspiration with your fellow readers and thousands of other Love My Dress readers all over the world. Through a fortnightly column, each bride will take turns to write about every aspect of their unique journey towards the main event. We can’t wait to read about your adventures!

So, if you are due to be married in at least 8 months time {i.e after September 10th 2014}, have a flair for writing, and can commit to contributing one blog post every 8 weeks, we want to hear from you. You’ll be given plenty of guidance and support once you’re on board, and we might even throw in a few exclusive treats for our new team members too.

  1. My heart was racing and I was so excited to read this – then I read ‘in the next 8 month’ I would have loved to apply for this. Never mind, I will just have to look forward to reading the lovettes blogs.

  2. Hi Rebecca, I think you’ve misread it slightly. As long as you have at least 8months of planning left you can enter. So if you’re due to marry after August this year then you’re fine! When is your wedding set to take place?

  3. Oh I would LOVE to do this! Our wedding is on August 30th… would that be slightly too soon? xx

  4. I think mine might be a little too far away…August 2016! Think I’ll still apply though and let you decide 🙂
    What a fab opportunity! xx

  5. Oh how nice to see myself in the very first image:)) brings back so many lovely memoreis! Flattered to be remembered by LMD:)))

  6. Oops! Thank you franky – I think I got a bit carried away and haven’t read it properly. My wedding isn’t until July 2015- is that too far away? Xx

  7. Oh no! I misread this too! I’ve already applied and only have 6 months left of planning (but remember everything!)

  8. Hello ladies at LMD!
I love your blog and read it every day but I’m French and getting married in France so useless to enter this contest. However it’s a great idea and I cannot wait to read what other brides have to say as I’m the first and only one among my friends getting married any time soon(or considering it). Any advice, tips and sweet comfort words are more than welcome!
I just had the most difficlut time with my dress and wish I could have shared it with understanding bride (the groom listens all right but poor man, he’s no help on this matter!)
So good luck to all the British Brides and looking forward to hearing from them!
    cheers from Paris

  9. Hi Nicola,
Thank you so much for your interest, but yes, May 31st is a little too soon to take part. We hope you’ll consider sharing your wedding photos with us after the event and best of luck for the rest of your planning.

  14. I wasn’t sure but I’m going to have a go at this because I love the idea of sharing our story! Our wedding is 8 November and we are in planning mode 🙂

  15. Oh what a shame as I’d love to have done this, especially as we’re are in full on planning mode now but we are getting married on 3rd September this year so I’m guessing a bit too soon 🙁

  16. What a shame, after 11 years together and 26 months of planning our wedding its now only 3 months away, super exciting but really would have loved to blog about our big day on LMD. I will have to stick to my own blog for now, letmebeyourfancytea.blogspot.co.uk. I’ll just have to hope our photographer will submit our photos for a chance go appear on LMD, it’s going to be a handmade wedding surrounded by tea, biscuits, knitting and buttons!
Good luck to the lovettes, what an amazing opportunity!

Great idea & I look forward to reading other brides’ wedding planning tales. Sigh….

  20. Catherine, watch out for an announcement on the Love My Dress Facebook page – we’re launching a new feature soon where we’ll be sharing newlywed’s words of wedded wisdom! 🙂
