But first, let’s meet Louise and can we just say that anyone who admits to getting goosebumps at weddings, after seven years in the business, is definitely on our wavelength! Louise literally grew up around cameras, shoots and pictures, falling in love with photography at a young age. “My Dad was a photographer so I was surrounded by all things photography,’ remembers Louise, “I ended up being a stand-in for shoot set up and my sister used to babysit me in my Dad’s mobile developing lab!”
With photography in her soul, it’s no surprise that Louise Adby fell headlong into the world of wedding photography after studying graphic design and photography at University. “I loved my first wedding,” says Louise. “I am so happy that I was trusted to photograph the day and capturing the atmosphere, romance and genuine expression was such an honour.”
Since that first wedding on a drizzly cold November day, Louise has gone on to photograph weddings far and wide and her style has evolved too. “I love finding fresh perspectives. I document what I see in a creative artistic way, mixing classic photojournalism with fine art.”
Louise takes great pride in being as unobtrusive possible and she works super sensitively to capture all of the wedding day without intruding on proceedings. “It’s really important to me that couples don’t notice me and apart from the groups and portrait session, I stay in the background as much as possible.”
